Safety is a Top Priority

JCRC-NM welcomed the first visit of the Regional Team from the Secure Community Network (SCN) to New Mexico, convening a series of meetings and site visits in Albuquerque and Santa Fe in February. 

The visit brought together Jewish community leaders, and law enforcement partners for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.  During the two-day program facilitated by JCRC-NM, SCN Regional Director Jason Dice and Regional Advisor Marissa Almeida met with local Jewish leaders, toured all Jewish preschool facilities at the JCC and area congregations, and engaged in important discussions with representatives from the FBI, the Albuquerque Police Department, and the Santa Fe Police Department. These meetings provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships, discuss community priorities, and reinforce our shared commitment to safety, education, and community well-being.
